Internet Marketing
Making money online with internet marketing is where I am able to pay my bills, buy nice cars, and in general spend a good bit of cash. I am currently 20 years old, and I make approximately $30,000 a year, which is certainly not to say that I am rich, but for a college student that is far more than I need. The best part about it is that I don't work at a fast food restaurant or scrub toilets, I am making all of my money doing what I love.
This is the hardest way to make money online, and most people either don't have the motivation or the work ethic to make it work out. I only put in about 5-10 hours of work a week into internet marketing, because once you have a site up and running it will continue to churn out a profit. This site took me maybe 4 days to put together and has made me thousands of dollars, internet marketing is the only way to actually replace a day job with making money online.
Understanding the intracasies of internet marketing will take time and money, the start up costs are usually about $500 to get all the tools you need. The biggest factor is that you will need to put in time to learn what you are doing before you get to see any results.
There are a couple main things you will need to start your internet marketing career and be on your way to online money making:
- A web host to host your website.
- eBooks to teach you how to run a website and how to get traffic.
- Marketing tools to help you make more sales.
- Something to sell, whether it is your own product or something you take a commission from.
In order for other people to see your website, you must have a web hosting account. For my sites I am currently using HostGator, for all 15 of my sites I have a total overhead of $8 a month. This means any money past $8 is pure profit (and there is a lot past this point).

To start learning about internet marketing you will need to do as you did in school, learn from books written by people that understand the subject matter. I have a list of recommended books for you to read, each one has its' own tricks and I have purposely assembled a list of books that complement each other so you could buy all of them without too much overlap.

Niche Choppers
This is one of the best forums out there for internet marketers, and it allows you to rub noses with the elite. I have been a member for quite a while myself, and this prviate membership forum is where the most successful marketers in the world meet to discuss new ways to drive sales and traffic to your site to maximize profits.
Maverick Money Makers
Another great resource is the Maverick Money Makers club, which is actually created by Mack Michaels which includes one on one training, monthly updates and resources as well as some powerful ebooks to help you succeed in internet marketing. This is definitely one to check out.
The CB Code
The CB (ClickBank) code is another great product, this teaches you how to make big profits by selling ClickBank products. I make the majority of my money through my ClickBank accounts so I would highly recommend buying this product. There are quite a few neat little tricks in this book that I have implemented to increase my profits.
Internet Marketing Tools
In order to actually make your internet marketing efforts effective you will need a couple of tools, first you will need an autoresponder so that you can legally get email addresses and send out messages to them to try to sell products (Without this, you would be spamming which is illegal). Second you need tools that help you promote your site by having sites link to yours, which will bring in visitors. Lastly you will need to drive up a buzz about your websites by using word of mouth, one of the best ways to do this is to use social media websites such as MySpace and Facebook to promote your site.
Aweber Autoresponders
Aweber is the industry leader in autoresponders for internet marketing. An autoresponder allows you to collect email addresses in a legal fashion from visitors to your websites, from here you can send them useful information mixed with things that will make you money. The number one mistake marketers make is missing an opportunity to get the contact information of their visitors. There is no getting around this, the two necessesities for an internet marketer are web hosting and an autoresponder.
You will definitely need to have an autoresponder to have a consistent income.
Bookmarking Demon
The Bookmarking Demon is a piece of software that you can run on your computer that will automatically drive traffic to your websites. The software will build up links to your website and send visitors to your site by automatically posting your web pages to high traffic social media sites such as StumbleUpon or Digg. This is a handy little tool that will make you money on autopilot.
Instant Article Submitter
The Instant Article Submitter allows you to create short 200-300 word articles about topics related to your site which you can then submit to thousands of sites for potential visitors to read. Each article will have a link back to your websites so if the reader likes your article, they will visit your website and from here you can make a nice profit.
Friend Blaster Pro
Friend Blaster Pro is a piece of software which allows you to effectively add friends on MySpace with little to no effort. It will automatically add friends that have interests similar to yours so that you can easily establish a business relationship with thousands of people. From this point you simply need to direct them to your site and you will make some easy money.
Making Money Online from your websites
In order to actually make money online from your websites you will need to have some kind of advertising revenue. There are many advertisers out there that will pay you a good amount of money if you can help them sell products.
